Conception

human_sperm_fertilizing_ovum1.jpgIt’s 2009 and change is in the air.   We see the miracle of conception  all around us and we believe for all kinds of new births in the coming year.   Nine (9) is a number that represents birthing, as it is obviously the number of months it takes to bring new life into the world.   To conceive is to become pregnant. We are pregnant with possibility. Conception also means forming or devising a new plan or idea in the mind. It’s the ability to imagine or form a mental image of what you would like to see occur.  Now is not just the time to dream, but to form, plan, begin to nurture and prepare for what will be birthed from us.

To conceive in the natural, the sperm of the father travels to connect with the egg of the mother. In the spiritual, the seed of the word or idea of God the Father through the Holy Spirit connects with the expectant heart of the believer.  Just as the conjoining of egg and sperm create a structured embryo, a concept is developed in our minds and spirits; a concept that holds structure and purpose.  No longer just abstract, it actually takes on form, shape and substance. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.  Hebrews 11:1What concept is God birthing in you this year?  What is its construct, shape, form, or timing?  How will it look like you once it is fully formed?  The earth is groaning and travailing until now to see us manifest and birth our babies…Rom. 8:22
